Life can be overwhelming and problems pile up so that we no longer know where to turn to. We want to tell someone - a friend, co-worker or family member. Perhaps we lost control and did something we regret, or made a mistake that we now feel we can't change. Or perhaps a loved one died, or someone close hurt us beyond repair. At times we feel inadequate. We can't seem to make it in life no matter how hard we try. The stress builds up and we feel trapped in our lives. We want to talk to someone, off-load some of the deep pain inside and through human interaction and understanding, find some kind of emotional balance and strength to go on - but often we don't know who to trust. We are afraid to show "weakness" to those close to us in case they don't understand - or worse, in case they belittle us and judge us. Sometimes it's easier to just talk to a stranger, yet someone who understands the pains of life and who can listen without judgement, with compassion and understanding!
